Hello,

Hi! I’m Kirsty, the Nursery Manager. I have been with Sunny Days since February 2013. I have worked within different roles throughout the company and each step has taught me valuable new skills.

The children really are at the heart of everything we do. Their little personalities are what help the staff to remain passionate about their jobs!

We refer to our staff as Sunny Stars because that is truly what they are. Always ensuring that our children receive high quality care and education each and every day.

We’d love to meet you and your family and introduce you to our friendly team and show you around our brilliant Bridport nursery.

Babies: 3 months – 2 years

The same key carers will look after your baby each day on a 1:3 adult to child ratio. Whilst your child is in the baby room, we will work with you to ensure that their time at Sunny Days follows your routine at home as closely as possible. We will also support and encourage them in meeting those precious milestones, such as crawling and learning to walk!

To welcome babies into the nursery, we offer a number of settling in sessions. Parents are invited to stay, or remain close by, to ensure their baby is comfortable and settled before leaving them.

Breakfast, lunch and snacks are included for babies who have been weaned and we also supply water and formula milk (from brands including Hipp Organic, SMA and Cow & Gate) as well as cow’s milk and plant-based milk.

We provide nappies, wipes, creams and sun cream, so all you need to pack is a change of clothes, some weather appropriate accessories for outdoor play, and any comforters you’d like them to have.

Our holiday club provides a safe and happy environment where children can spend time during the school holidays. Head Chef Sarah at Sunny Days Dorchester

These brilliant meal plans are brought to life by our in-house Children’s Chef Sarah and her assistant Kevin. Sarah and Kevin use fresh ingredients which are delivered daily, to prepare breakfast,  morning & afternoon snacks, and a 2-course hot lunch for each of our little ones, making sure they’ve got all the energy they need for a day full of adventures!

At Sunny Days, little ones spend their days with us learning through play.

Activities are carefully designed to engage children in fun and educational experiences that support their physical, emotional and cognitive development.

Preschooler playing in the Nursery garden

We are a Green Flag accredited Eco School, and as such, we help your little ones to learn about the importance of caring for the planet.  We also have a weekly Forest School which includes activities such as building bug hotels and making & mixing natural potions!

Nursery activities often include opportunities for outdoor play in our large nursery garden, and trips to the Play Loft, which is the incredible indoor soft play area at our Dorchester setting.

The children have lots of fun playing group games which are designed to promote social interaction, language development and physical coordination.

Children reading a book

We help nurture a love of reading by having books in every room, because they take us on adventures and help us learn new things!

Toddlers and preschoolers enjoying music activity

We go above and beyond to provide lots of exciting opportunities for children including sporting activities such as football with Supa Strikers, as well as creative arts, music, and more!

Sunny Day's staff and toddler playing with colourful building bricks

We provide a variety of tabletop, floor and tuff tray activities that support children’s curiosity and exploratory skills – the children love messy, sensory play such as making play dough and having fun with slime!

Crafts are often based on upcoming celebrations, such as Easter, Diwali festival, St Patrick’s Day, and Roald Dahl Day!
