Coronavirus Update

24 March 2020

Good Afternoon Parents/Carers,

We hope you and your families are well and safe.

Day 2 of care for key workers and vulnerable children only.

Day 2 of missing our families who cannot come into Sunny Days due to isolation.

The team and I are thinking of you all at this difficult time, everyone’s lives have been turned upside down and we suspect a lot of us are in shock from Boris’s speech last night.

Sunny Days believe this move is very positive, as key workers ourselves, we can carry on working to support all other key workers.

We cannot stress enough how important it is for you to keep your children at home if there is a healthy responsible adult to look after them.

Our current services are for critical key workers on the front line looking after people and saving lives and vulnerable children.

ParentZone App

Those of you having fun at home – thank you for using your Parentzone app.

Our staff have been looking at what your doing with your children with tears in their eyes, missing you all!

Keep up the good work and those of you who haven’t been using Parentzone, here’s a little reminder - please feel free to upload anything you wish. Whether it be a comment to say your child has said a new word or that you have read a book together.

Anything is lovely for the team to see and keep our relationships going

😊

Just to let you know… the childcare team now have the option to comment back when you write a message to them on the app. Please respect that the team are still caring for children at the nursery and keeping on top of cleaning so you may not receive a response straight away, but we are hoping this helps to keep communications open.

Watch this space for the new E-booking system coming soon!

A few more little creases to iron out before this service goes live.

Decontamination

During the recent decontamination of both settings we were advised to wash all clothing and soft furnishings within the buildings in order to achieve a fully COVID-free environment.

We understand some of you may have left your belongings with us here and we would of course like to get them back to you when it is safe to do so.

If your belongings were not labelled, please let us know specific details where possible and we will look at organising these for you.

Parent Emails

The Administrators and Managers are working hard to get through emails among many other things. We have had many duplicates and questions regarding April invoices. Please refer to the cover email sent with your invoice on Friday 20th March.

We have noticed some of you did not receive some comms yesterday and we think it could be due to the volume of emails coming in and going out – please accept my apologies.

During this uncertain time, we are unclear with how everything is going to work for you as parents and for us as a business, so we thank you for your cooperation and patience.

More news to come soon!
